Wittle Wady Bug

Noelle likes to play airplane on top of mommies legs. We had to get creative and think of new ways to get a little tummy time in since Noelle usually either cries or just lays her noggin down and refuses to participate.

We recently had an unseasonably warm weekend. The three of us took to the streets and walked to Subway for lunch. Noelle loved it! She was silent and wide-eyed the whole time suddenly becoming aware of the world around her. This was her first time in the stroller without the carseat attached. As she sat with us in front of the window passers by smiled and pointed. A little old lady stopped to peck on the window and play ga-ga with Noelle. We all three ate and loaded back up for the trip home.

Body Control

Noelle is now able to sit facing outward in the Baby Bjorn. She likes it for a while but riding in this direction is still new to her. Yesterday, the 3rd, Noelle was lying on a towel on the rug in the bathroom when she decided to roll over for the first time. Actually she didn't quite get over her bottom arm but everything else was belly down on the floor. I, of course, had to take a picture.

Usually when Noelle does her tummy time she just decides to lower her head and lie still. Today was one of the few times she raised her head as intended.

Daddy's Gifts

Saturday night when Noelle was 12 1/2 weeks Chris was going to give me a full night off. I slept in the guest room so maybe, just maybe I could get a full uninterrupted night's sleep. What a gift! I put her to bed around 11:00 as is our new habit, read a bit and fell asleep. I woke in the morning hearing Noelle not really crying but yelling out from the other room. I went to investigate and found out that she had been asleep ALL NIGHT LONG. Holy Moly! She didn't repeat her performance last night but this is progress. That Chris is one lucky dog; or maybe he just has the magic touch. On second thought, I think I'll let him take over every night. ;)
